A friend of mine told me about these videos in youtube about the Paraguay war (the triple Alianza war)
Unfortunately I couldn’t find an English version, however I would like to share this with you, very interesting.
Once Paraguay was one or the most important country in South America, We had the first trains and telegraph system, and so on.

My husband bought a book on the history of Paraguay. You have much for which to be proud!

I read a history book that was recommended to me. “Un Historia Breve de Paraguay” It saddened me to see the way other countries, and comercial interestes have devoured so much of Paraguay’s hope and future.
I was proud to read how Paraguayans fought back.
I look forward to living in your country.

Yes, those videos saddended, they took everything away from us and on top of that we had to pay for the costs of the war…
You will be so happy living in Paraguay =) it is different, but once you learn to see things beyond its surface and dig a little bit further living there will become a whole new experience. Maybe you come up with some fun ideas about helping children or so…maybe something internet based, who knows? or maybe you become a photographer, a blogger about your experience, or a curious traveler around the forgotten in time towns (that are wonderful)
I’m sure that sometimes different things put us emotionally at another level, don’t you think?
