mmmmmmmm!! That is a blessing! one hour drive is worth the trip! =)
You know how much i miss empanadas? could eat them everyday for a whole year and im no kidding, LOL
I'm having the same problem, I use the tea strainer and there are a lot of yerba floating around, I think in paraguay when they burn the sugar with the yerba there are not so many lose yerba let to float after being strained. You should try the homemade way, they way you probably remember from Py....I cant have enough of it
I just finish my bag of chipitas, how bad is that?! =(
Enjoy yours dear friend. When you go again can you ask the please if there is a way i can order online or by phone?
Gracias mi amiga!

I just bought the same chipitas and cocido yesterday at the Little Paraguay Deli in West Harrison NY-about an hour from my house! It was like a blast from the past. Muna, the instant cocido shown has lots of stems, etc.-what's the best way to drink it? I used a tea strainer, I don't remember so much floating around in my cup when I had cocido in Paraguay. We also bought empanadas there and they were excellent! We got there too late for the chipas though, I'll have to go back earlier in the day when they're fresh and hot.
