I’m Back in the US!!
Hi all, I’m back!
I’m back with tons of new experiences, from airlines and trip problems, internet issues to great projects.
First sorry for not being so communicative while there, first: I hardly had time to log on to check my email, I had so many things to do in such a short time, i know that 2 months seems long but for what I had in mind it was a very short period of time. Second: internet there sucks! and third the last days I spent with my friends and relatives and didn’t want to go online a lot, I was jealous of my time with them.
I arrived 2 days ago and I still have to unpack my luggage that arrived just yesterday, i thought that the suitcases only go missing in Paraguay, well it happens here too…
In the next days I will be telling you about everything I lived there, they interesting people I met, show you the pictures of the food I ate (yummy) also some picture of the city, this time I spend mostly in Asuncion…I really didn’t have time to travel around, since I mostly went there to work rather than vacationing.
As many of you know my main work is with filigree, I’m a jewelry designer, i work mostly in Luque with great silversmiths that are not just artisans they are real silver artists.
Months ago I had this idea to produce a documentary about Paraguayan filigree, because i think that is a beautiful art that most people dont know how its made (I was impressed the first time I saw how they make a piece of filigree jewelry, it is a piece of art)
What is filigree: Thin silver threads twisted and soldered together making stunning pieces of jewelry. You can read more about it on my website www.larimoon.com
Well, the documentary was filmed on july 14th 2008 in Luque and Presented in a big style in a very fancy and traditional art museum in Asuncion, called Manzana de la Rivera on the august 28th.
The director of my documentary Ruben Dario Lugo and me were interview by many TV channels to promote our work.
The documentary is not on youtube, the only way you can see the documentary is on my website please click here (you will also see some links to the promotion of the documentary) :

I hope you like it, soon it will be translated to English, they are working on it now!
Enjoy it!
