Meeting with other Paraguay bloggers in Paraguay

While I was in Paraguay, actually my lasts days in Paraguay this year were pretty hectic, I still had the presentation of the documentary I produced ahead of me and a lot of meetings and things to do before returning to the US.In the middle of that turmoil I got an email of Rita (junglemom, Blogger and reader of this blog) she had moved recently to Paraguay and invited me over to have a “merienda” in her house in Luque, she also invited Brenda another Paraguay blogger and her daughter that is also a blogger. It was a BLOGGERS REUNION, HOW COOL IS THAT!

We arrive at her charming house in Luque, very easy to find and very close to Asuncion, Rita and her family are American but lived more time in Venezuela but moved more a mission to Asuncion, and also because her daughter lives with her family in Luque for quiet some time now.

Her house was gorgeous, with a huge pool on the back and wooden furniture, a very cozy ambiance.

Brenda is also from the US but living in Paraguay for some time now, ironically everybody was from the US living in Paraguay and I was from Paraguay living in the US, life is like that some times, always interesting.

We had such a wonderful meeting, they told me about their experiences in the jungle and in Venezuela and were excited about their new life in Paraguay, they were very happy and I was even more happy that my country could welcome them warmly as they have expected.

The best thing of this blogging experience is that you actually meet nice people, I’ve met many readers and Blogger/readers so far and couldn’t be happier.

Recently I have even met a reader Hillary and her family, they came all the way from Oregon to Seattle just to meet me, she is so sweet, have had recently a surgery and I hope she is going great by now, FUERZA HILLARY! Her family is a blast, great and smart kids and a very nice husband, she used to be an AFS exchange student some time ago and always had a strong bond with Paraguay, she had recently returned to Paraguay (this year) and had had a great experience there.

In Paraguay I’ve meet Chris and his Girlfriend, both work for the American School there and were very nice and sweet, I always love to hear peoples perceptions of Paraguay, it is different from mine because they have another background and see same things from a very interesting point of view, we had medialunas at media lunas calentitas a very nice place where you can have coffee, pastries and the little butter horns called Medialunas in Asuncion.

To all you that I have met I have to say THANK YOU, for having made every line in my blog worthy…to those of you that read me and follow my blog I have to say THANK YOU for being there and support me with your emails and comments and specially for understanding that some times due the lack of time I don’t write as frequently as I would like.

And to all of you I would like to Thank you for these 2 great years and hope to meet more of you here or in Paraguay some day soon.

Keep in touch with all your great words and nice ideas. Thanks Tom for your great post ideas, I really appreciate that I’m being read also in Sweden.

Enjoy the Pictures!
