Sponsor a Child in Paraguay

I have been thinking about sponsoring a child for a long time now and Today I finally did it!!, I sponsored a child in Paraguay through a foundation called PLAN I don’t know much about this foundation, just found it online and they seem pretty serious have been helping needy children since 1937.

My child name is Clara and she is an adorable little 4 year old, she is cute and tiny and I’m so happy that she appeared on my screen when I was searching for a child to sponsor…someone send Clara to me and that was so emotive, soon I will get her biography and her photo and I would love to see her grow strong and healthy with a bright future in front of her…who knows? Maybe is destiny that I will help little Clara and she will help me to become a better person.

If you are in the mood check that website maybe you also can sponsor a child from Paraguay or anywhere else…the location matters little, the fact matters a lot.

There are so many needs in Paraguay. So many children who don’t get the chance that they deserve in life. Personally, we give so that children can go to school. Latin American ChildCare is a sponsorship program that provides a quality, private education for children in Paraguay. My friend is the founder. You can find out more about it at:

I too have, many times, thought of sponsoring a child but either was not that content with the organization’s distribution of funds (meaning how much really reaches the needy) or procrastinated and just never did. CONGRATULATIONS on doing so! Action is what really counts. I checked out PLAN and it seems that most of what is donated actually gets to the child! Clara has already made you an even a better person than you already are!

I also wanted to mention a program which helps people in developing countries (and heavens knows that our beloved Paraguay needs it), who would otherwise have no resource, help themselves giving them small loans to start or continue a business. www.kiva.org You can choose the person and country you will help.

Regardless, I have always felt that donating whether it be my time or money has always been something where I end up gaining so much more than what I put in!!

Thanks for putting that little fire behind our ‘you know what’ to take action and help.
