Paraguay, a bizarre world.
Every day in Paraguay is an adventure, it can be hilarious or very annoying, it depends on how you take those little things that can spice life easily.
There is no place like Paraguay. It’s like a bizarre world, where things don’t work as expected and where you rethink about all you thought you knew until now. Paraguay breaks all schemes, and I really mean it. =-)
Paraguay is certainly a window for the unknown and don’t be surprised if something changes in you.
I hope you can be in Paraguay through my blog and experience the same things I had (at least with your thoughts) and that’s priceless. For everything else, don’t use your credit card because in most places they won’t accept it or will charge 11% of the value of your purchase… but there are many ATMs around, so don’t worry too much about it… Well, just make sure that you keep an eye on the ”foreign charges”
I remember once I went with a friend to have lunch in a very centric downtown place, not fancy at all, but decent… we had a nice lunch and then ordered dessert and coffee.
Everything was fine until i tried the coffee, and I felt something was wrong, this shouldn’t be happening, I chewed something disgusting, it was horrible, then i noticed that what i had in my mouth was a cockroach, yikes!! I still remember the feeling.
Then i was so furious and angry, and asked loudly for the manager and obviously people noticed what was going on.
After seve
ral minutes the manager arrived and I told him what just happened, he apologized many times, and he promised me that it would NEVER happen again (as if that would change what I felt) and he also said that he wouldn’t charge me anything for the coffee!!! and he really meant it!! (but he did charge me for the lunch)!!!
Of course I never put my feet in that place again. And of course, that place closed for good a short time after that, and that experience was priceless…(or maybe not?!). Did something similar ever happen to you?
